Tunis/Tunisia — The second phase of the programme "Accelerating Progress towards Rural Women's Economic Empowerment - JP RWEE," which targets 3,000 women kicked off in Tunis. This $5 million programme, funded by Norway and Sweden will be implemented over five years. It is led by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), in cooperation with the World Food Programme (WFP), UN Women and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). The programme targets 3,000 beneficiaries in Tunisia, specifically 2,220 women and 780 men.
