JULIENNE LUSENGE

Julienne is the President of (Female Solidarity for Integrated Peace and Development)—a coalition of 40 grassroots women's groups in eastern DR Congo, that protect women’s rights and provide direct support to survivors of sexual violence. During the 1998 conflict, Julienne documented the acts of violence and condemned them in public. She has not stopped, and through SOFEPADI promotes a societal shift that supports survivors and reintegrates them into communities.
