STANDING UP TO CLIMATE DISASTERS: WOMEN’S AND GIRLS' STORIES FROM MADAGASCAR

Tropical Cyclones Batsirai and Emnati hit the same regions in south-east Madagascar. They affected 420,000 people, left thousands of people homeless, flooded their crops, and destroyed their hospitals and schools. Amidst the devastation and destruction wrought by these climate disasters, seven women and a girl shared their stories of loss, hope and solidarity, from women whose lives were upended by the storms to those helping them to recover.
